Ballet classes for youth and adults
Year-round · Join any week
Saturday, 3:15–4:15 PM · Mount Prospect
A class that brings together all levels and all ages, from 13 to 113 years old. It is led by choreographer Petur Iliev, a professional dancer and artistic director of the Bulgarica Dance School.
What the class includes
You may have danced for years. Your last class may have been decades ago. You may have never stood at a barre. Whatever your background, there is a place for you here.
An hour in which the body gradually remembers how to move: barre work, center exercises, and diagonal movement.
The combinations are taught in levels, so everyone takes the variation that suits their body today, not the body from twenty years ago and not the body of the person next to them.
Ballet develops core strength, flexibility, posture, and balance at any age and with any physical background. And after a few weeks, another thing comes: the feeling that you carry your body differently outside the studio as well.
Enrollment
No previous experience is required and there is no audition. You can come every week or drop in for single classes whenever your schedule allows.
The first visit is free. Come, try it, and decide afterwards.
Places are limited to 15 to ensure a peaceful atmosphere at the barre and individual attention for everyone.
We offer both individual and semi-individual lessons. For information and registration: admin@bulgarica.org
