The two-part lecture series "Women's Beauty Through the Ages" will present the history of women's fashion in Bulgarian lands - clothing, hairstyles, jewellery and cosmetics - as well as the change in women's tastes and sense of beauty over the millennia.
Part one looks at women's jewellery and cosmetics and part two looks at women's clothing and hairstyles.

A rich factual material is used, which is based on archaeological finds, painted ceramics, frescoes, objects of toreutics and jewellery art, and contemporary costume reproductions. Traditions and influences in material culture are illustrated, as well as the enduring spiritual values of Bulgarian women through the ages.
Historian Kamelia Popova will take you back in time to present the sophistication and beauty of the Bulgarian woman, which has been preserved to this day. We are waiting for you!
