Dear friends,
We are very pleased to invite you to join us for a celebration of cultures in Chicago. Dance School Bulgarica will participate in the Mount Prospect Celebration of Cultures for the fourth time. We are all honoured to represent Bulgaria on the same stage with performers from various other communities.
When: 26 August 2023, Saturday
10:45: Gathering for the parade
11:00: Opening of the event. There will be a short ceremony and a parade with the presentation of all cultures.
16:00: Presentation of Dance School Bulgarica. With the special participation of Sonia Membreno.
Event location: Kopp Park in Mount Prospect (behind the RecPlex, 420 Dempster Street, Mount Prospect, IL 60056).
The Mount Prospect Celebration of Cultures was created specifically to showcase all the communities in the area, their lifestyles, traditions and cultural heritage.
At the event you will find a variety of food from different regions, as well as cultural stands with authentic items and clothing. Bulgaria will also be represented with its own stand, which you can find at the event. Many handmade items with Bulgarian motifs will be on display. If you would like to exhibit your items, you can contact us at (773) 231-2545 or e-mail: bulgaricahora@gmail.com.
There will be plenty of music and dancing to keep the good spirits up. All participants will strive to best represent their country and culture. Come and have fun together!
