"Petya to my Petya" is the title of the story of the poet Petya Dubarova, who has become a legend. The script lifts the veil of the past to introduce contemporary young people to Petya Dubarova and her talent.
The approach in making the film is to connect the future with the past. The story is built on the connections and parallels between two teenage girls from different times. One is daring and modern, the other - as presented in the film - wise and mythical.
"Petya to my Petya" asks questions, and the modern Petya of the film must find her answers in a world where the system remains the same despite the years difference.
The new school year begins with sudden changes. A new principal, new rules, and a serious incident that will change the lives of a group of 11th graders. Amidst the injustice in the high school, one girl decides to act and fight against everything that turns her classmates "into cans without labels". Because the system in the person of Principal Krachunov loves the obedient and does not tolerate the different. 40 years after the death of her beloved poet Petya Dubarova, Petya will find meaning in living and loving truly.
