Dear friends,
We would like to invite you to the next exhibition in the Bagrena Gallery at the Bulgarica Centre by the artist Shlomo Levi - Return To Yourself.
Welcome to:
Saturday, May 13, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Where: the Bulgarica Centre
Address: 1120 S. Elmhurst Rd, Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056.
"Return To Yourself" is the first exhibition in America of Shlomo Levi, a popular Jewish artist of Bulgarian origin. Born in Provadia in 1934, he left his homeland when he was only fifteen and settled first in Israel and later in France. Trained by a student of Wassily Kandinsky, Levi devoted his life to art as a teacher and freelance artist.
His paintings, owned by numerous private and public collections around the world, reveal a unique fairyland of colours and forms in which the Bulgarian tradition is clearly discernible. Today, our Chicago community welcomes its countryman and its first encounter with him.
