🪗 NEW FOLK DANCE CLASS FOR BEGINNERS – Mount Prospect
We are starting a new class for adults starting October 1st! Every Thursday from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Bulgarica Center.
No previous experience is needed – you will learn basic steps and dances from various folklore regions, improve your rhythm and coordination, and have fun in a friendly environment.
Instructor: Boryana Petrova Price: $45/month — the first hour is FREE Where: Bulgarica Center, 1120 S Elmhurst Rd, Mount Prospect, IL
We urge everyone planning to exercise their right to vote to take 2 minutes and fill out the application online.
Why is it important?
According to the new amendments to the Electoral Code from August of this year, the declaration will now be filled out and signed IN FRONT OF the members of the Sectional Commission. Pre-filled and pre-signed paper declarations will not be accepted.
This will significantly slow down the process on election day.
By filling out an electronic application, you WILL NOT need to fill out such a declaration on site and you will get through much faster.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR OUR SECTION:
In the last election in April, 737 Bulgarian citizens voted at polling station “Bulgarica.” According to the new Election Code, if more than 300 people vote, voting is conducted ONLY BY MACHINE.
In our section, there will be 2 machines and there will NOT be voting with paper ballots.
Deadline for submission of electronic applications: September 29, 2026, 4:00 PM local time (Chicago)
Let us show once again that the Bulgarian community in Chicago votes actively!

Dear fellow Bulgarians,
On October 25, elections for President and Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria will take place.
We are pleased to announce that the “Bulgarica” Cultural Center will once again host a polling place where you can exercise your right to vote.
IMPORTANT: Help us avoid the queues!
The portal for electronic submission of applications is now open on the CEC website:
