Encaustic is an ancient art with Thracian roots that uses beeswax and heat to create multi-layered, glowing works. Used by the Greeks and Egyptians, this technique has been rediscovered in modern art for its inimitable texture, depth and durability.
What to expect:
- Live demonstration by the artist Neli Tsintseva
- Introduction to encaustic technique - from wax to visual magic
- Practical tips and inspiration for creating your own artwork
Encaustic art is not just seen - it is felt. The smell of wax, the warmth, the colours and shapes create a meditative, almost mystical experience.
Come share a different, beautiful and inspiring art together.
