The film is the work of the creative tandem Veselin Dimanov and Dimitar Stafidov (the creators of Morality and Goodness) and traces not only Tsvetkov's professional path, but also the dramatic changes in Bulgarian journalism and media market after 1989.
For almost a year, the team has been gathering material, reviewing the journalist's personal archive and hundreds of airtime hours, some of which will be shown for the first time to the general public. Special access to the archives was granted by Tsvetkov's family and Nova TV. The documentary will reveal unknown aspects of the journalist's life and careerwhom many describe as "inconvenient" not only in life but also after his death. Also included are over 40 interviews with his family and colleagues. What they all have in common is the memory of Milen Tsvetkov and his unwavering principle.
Born on 30 July 1966 in Sofia, Milen Tsvetkov leaves an indelible mark in the media space. His professional path goes through BNT as a reporter in "Ku-ku." and presenter of "Around the world and at home", and later at Nova TV with iconic shows like "Hello, Bulgaria"which marked the beginning of the political morning block as we know it today, "60 Minutes with Milen Tzvetkov" and "The Hour of Milen Tsvetkov". In March 2020, just a month before his tragic death, he began working at TV1 with the show "The Alternative". On April 20, 2020, on Easter eve, the journalist died in a cruel accident and his loss shocked the whole Bulgaria.
