A Meeting of Inner Worlds and Artistic Echoes
The artists’ canvases and prints communicate in a silent yet vivid dialogue — through lines, colors, and shades that echo lived experience and inner reflection. Within this exchange, each viewer discovers their own resonance, a personal sense of harmony, movement, and inner light.
The Artists About Their Work
Monika Voykova was born in Sofia and graduated from the National Academy of Arts with a degree in Graphic Arts. Her work blends painting and watercolor, where imagination and reality intertwine in a delicate, poetic balance. Her artistic world is built of subtle nuances, quiet lyricism, and light.
“Everything we see and experience is an endless source of ideas. Even while we paint, we continue to think and feel — and new echoes, new resonances appear. I am happiest when my work resonates with others,” says Voykova.
Denislav Todorov was born in 1974 in Sofia. He studied at the Iliya Petrov School of Fine Arts and later at the National Academy of Arts, where he developed a distinctive style marked by philosophical depth and emotional sincerity. His paintings do more than observe the world — they interpret it, revealing an ongoing interplay between thought, emotion, and imagination.
“Everything resonates — both literally and metaphorically. Art reflects our inner world and helps us become aware of our own vibrations,” says Todorov.
The exhibition will also feature the catalogue of the group “Bulgarian Artists Abroad – Chicago,” showcasing works by Bulgarian artists working both in the United States and internationally.
