Artists with a Shared Journey and a Distinctive Style
Marina and Nikolay Rusevi are a family of professional artists from Varna. Graduates of the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts, they have an extensive exhibition history and have participated in numerous plein-air events across Bulgaria and Europe. Their creative path is marked by consistency, craftsmanship, and deep respect for the classical tradition of painting.
Painting Inspired by Travel and the Sea
In this exhibition—their American debut—the artistic couple presents still lifes and landscapes executed in classical oil technique. The subjects are inspired by their travels and life by the sea, and each canvas conveys a sense of calm, contemplation, and inner harmony.
Beyond their painting, the two artists are also known for their interest in Bulgarian history. Their collaborative work with Prof. Ovcharov and other distinguished scholars has led to the creation of historical books, calendars, and comics. Their works are part of collections held by galleries and private collectors in Bulgaria and abroad.
We look forward to welcoming you to an evening where art speaks softly, yet lingers long after.
