Encaustic demonstration with Nelly Tsintseva - wax, colour and inspiration

On 12 July 2025 Gallery "Bagrena." to Bulgarica Cultural Center turned into a cozy art space filled with the aroma of beeswax, warmth and inspiration. The event "Encaustic Demonstration with Nelly Tsintseva" presented one of the most ancient artistic techniques - encaustic painting - through a live demonstration and conversation with the author.

Art that is not just seen - it is felt

The encaustic technique - painting with melted beeswax and pigments - dates back to the time of the Thracians and has been revived in contemporary art with its unique texture, depth and durability. Guests at the event had the opportunity to observe the process up close - from the melting of the wax to the creation of the finished work.

Meeting with the artist

In a chamber atmosphere, several art connoisseurs met the artist in person Neli Tsintseva, talked to her about technique, inspiration and the possibilities that encaustic art offers. The paintings presented sparked interest and an emotional response from the guests present.
