Mount Prospect Celebration of Cultures 2025 - Bulgaria on stage

August 23, 2025 Mount Prospect, IL. The Festival Mount Prospect Celebration of Cultures brought together representatives from over 20 countries. Music, dance, crafts and traditions turned the city centre into a stage of world cultural diversity. Bulgaria was among the distinguished participants.

Bulgarica on Stage

Right in 3:20 pm Dance group "Bulgarica" with choreographer Petur Iliev presented an energetic program of Bulgarian folk dances. The traditional costumes, the strong synchronization and the lively contact with the audience were met with applause.

Just a week earlier, Bulgarica also participated in the Wheeling International Festival 2025, where he again presented Bulgaria to a large international audience.

The cultural stand of Bulgaria

Apart from the stage, Bulgaria was also present with own cultural standwhich attracted dozens of visitors. Guests could explore folk embroidery, ceramics and handmade souvenirs, learn about the symbology and regional specificities the elements of folklore and get information about the activities of "Bulgarica" and upcoming events. Special thanks to the ladies who helped with the preparation of the representative stand of Bulgaria!
