"The path never ends, it only changes!" - this message that Peter G. Ray shares in his novel "The Way", is reflected in his painting exposition "The visible side of the enigma".

At 15 March 2025. gallery "Bagrena" at the cultural centre "Bulgarica" hosted the first exhibition of Peter Georgiev Ray / Peter G. Ray in Chicago. Inspiring and multi-layered, the exhibit brought together art lovers, artists and connoisseurs who had the privilege to not only view the canvases, but also meet their creator.

Meeting with the author - between the brush and the word

The opening was led by Peter Georgiev from the cultural center "Bulgarica", and the guest was presented by Vasilen Vasevski from the Bulgarian Artists Abroad Association. The evening was not just an exhibition, but a profound artistic experiencewhich connected abstract art with literature and the philosophy of the artist.

Petar Georgiev Ray is a Bulgarian artist who lives and works in Montreal, Canada. He is the author of a number of works in the field of abstract art, and according to Kenworth Moffett, American critic and former curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Boston, "he is one of the most original artists working today". His works are an impressive symbiosis between precision and freedomchallenging the viewer to seek their own interpretations.

"I don't like to explain my paintings", said the artist himself. "They carry my energetic charge, but everyone who stands before them will find their own path in them."

Books, art and philosophy of life

Besides artist, Peter G. Ray is also a writer. During the event his books were presented, including:
- "The Thinker or Alone with a Lived"
- "Conquerors."
- "The Way"
- "The Mountain"
- The poetry collection "Nails of the Cross"

These works are philosophical and deeply personalconveying the search and insights of an artist who sees the world beyond the visible.

Gratitude and response

The exhibition left a deep impression on all the guests. The Bulgarian community in Chicago had the opportunity to experience not only the unique creativity of Peter G. Ray, but also to his reflections on art, the path and the enigmatic that lies in every painting.
